The Academy for Black Excellence (ABLE) is a program for Black, African American students from grades 2- 8 in Northeast Wisconsin (NEW). ABLE is by invitation only and designed to affirm, engage, support, inspire, motivate, position, and guide Black students as fellows, scholars, and leaders in their personal, emotional, mental, and academic journey to achieve success in their schools and community in NEW. ABLE is unapologetically centered on Black Students and designed to equip them with the academic and social skills to thrive in navigating spaces.
Our objective is for 100% of ABLE Fellows to demonstrate at least a 10% improvement in college- and career readiness based on standardized test scores, enrollment, attendance, push-out rates, and social emotional skills.
